Since the body is not made to consume chemical ingredients and accept synthetic treatments, it is best to use homemade acne treatments to treat the problem naturally and safely.

The efficiency of homemade acne treatments depends on the severity of the condition. The great thing about these natural treatments is that they are readily accessible, inexpensive and safer compared to most prescribed medications. If you are looking for effective treatments for acne, here are some homemade remedies that can help you eliminate your acne problems naturally:

* Vitamin E oil – most experts recommend using vitamin E for treating acne and for future acne scarring. However, using vitamin E for acne may take a while before experiencing the results. It is recommended to combine the use of vitamin E with other natural acne treatments for faster efficiency.

* Tea tree oil – this essential oil has always been used in many acne treatment products today because of its effectiveness in fighting bacteria and reducing inflammation.

* Omega 3 oils and other essential nutrients – remember that in order to treat acne successfully, it is important to deal with the problem from the inside. Make sure to have a healthy diet and include omega 3 oils into your nutrition. Omega 3 is a great source of antioxidants that can provide various health benefits. It can help the body produce less oil, which is good for the skin. Aside from omega 3, it is also recommended to consider taking multivitamins in order to keep your skin healthy and clear.

* Flush out toxins from your system – it is best to detoxify your body at least once a year. Use a good cleansing technique in eliminating harmful waste from your body. Detoxifying your body can help make your skin and body healthier and stronger. There are a lot of detoxification techniques available so make sure to choose the right one for you and read the instructions carefully before undergoing the process.

* Use clean water – it is believed that using water filter in the shower can help clear the skin. Additionally, drink a lot of water in order to keep the body hydrated.

The best way to prevent acne is to maintain a healthy diet. Eat nutritious foods such as fruits and vegetables and use cosmetic products that are appropriate for the type of your skin. Also, avoid touching or picking on your acne to prevent infection. It is best to get a good and natural acne program to help you deal with your problem.
<br

People say that it will just irritate your blackheads further and cause more havoc on your skin. Now, that is a scary thought. You actually have seen some people looking worse after popping their pimples. However, if you really must pop your blackheads, you must at least have a guideline to go by. This is so that you can prevent your skin from getting worse. Note that if you do not pop your blackheads right, you could be spreading the oil and bacteria to other parts of your face.

Soften the Area/Open the Pores

Before you start popping blackheads, you have to prepare the affected area first. Use a warm cloth or face a basin with steaming water to open the pores.

Sterilize your Extractor

Do not use your extractor right from where you got it. You have to make sure that it is sterilized first before placing it on your skin. You could be infecting your skin more if you do not sterilize.

Use the Extractor Properly

Now that your skin is soft enough for the extraction, encircle the affected area with your extractor. Apply pressure on the area. There is no need to create a sweeping motion. The pressure is enough to let the infection ooze out of the skin.

Do not Press Too Hard or Too Long

You have to be gentle and not press too much. Do not prolong the pressure. Right after the skin is cleared of the blackhead, you can gently remove the extractor. Too much pressure can cause scarring on the affected area.

Use Antiseptic Cream

Apply antiseptic cream or disinfectant on the area of extraction. This is to avoid lingering infection and new infections.

Sterilize All Your Tools

Make sure you sterilize your extractor and any other tool that you have used when you were popping blackheads. This is so that you remove any infection from the tools. Still, before you use these tools on your next extraction, you need to sterilize again.

Though it is thought by many that when you pop your blackheads, you cause your skin more harm than good, a proper technique followed can actually cause your skin no harm. If you follow all the steps, especially the amount of pressure used and the regular sterilization, you should be alright. Of course, if you are still unsure about the safety of the process, you can always ask your dermatologist for further advice.
<EMBED

It’s caused by dirt, facial products, stress, bad eating habits and especially hormonal changes in the body. When you encounter these things, your skin’s sebaceous glands will produce excess oil that when combines with dead skin or oxygen brings about severe moisture in the skin and thus inviting harmful bacteria. Facial acne concerns a lot of people because it’s something that you cannot hide under clothing. Of course thick make-up would do the trick but too much facial products will also worsen acne problems. So many people, especially women use different kinds of pimple cleaning gels, cream, topical ointment and the like to get rid of acne. But since some people want immediate and permanent results, they resort to other dermatological methods such as laser treatments, microdermabrasion, and what not. What many don’t realize is that acne does not really disappear over night because the only way to dismiss it is through discipline an d living a healthy lifestyle. No matter which medicine you use, if you don’t take care of your skin, you still suffer from acne. Here are four easy steps on how to let facial acne out of your life.

Drink plenty of water.

Water would not be called a universal solvent if couldn’t melt down or flush out almost anything, especially toxins. So if you feel that your skin is drying up, becoming too greasy or is getting clogged, then re-hydrate yourself with water all throughout the day. Water will cleanse not just cleanse your face but also your whole system.

Eat low on the food chain and pack on fruits and vegetables.

If you love eating steak and fast food then it’s time to take on something else. Eating fatty and preserved food all the time will increase oil production in your body and thus increasing acne too. Have a balanced diet and eat more of fish, fruits and vegetables everyday, as much as possible. These will supply nutrients for your skin.

Change your pillow cases, beddings and blankets regularly.

Pay attention to what touches your face including face towels, sun glasses your bangs and what not. Lying on a filthy bed will put filth on your face too whether you like it or not. So change sheets frequently and clean whatever touches your face often.

Wash, even when you don’t put make up on.

Make sure that before you go to bed every night and before you leave home during the day that you’ve cleaned your face. This is one way of removing oil and dead skin cells, so that bacteria will stay away too. When it comes to acne, it’s better to prevent instead of treat.

Tags: <A

You don’t want to be walking around your high school with the possibility of bumping into your crush and having him or her see a massive pimple–or worse, pimples–smack dab at the tip of your nose. The problem can also continue on until adulthood which is can be just as embarrassing as it is for teens–imagine the dread of appearing for a job interview or attending a high school reunion; you’d be worried sick of how your old classmates will react at your still having zits on your face and neck when you’re already in your thirties.

To help you out with your spotty situation, here are some acne tips:

Since acne is an inflammatory skin reaction resulting from blockage of follicles, it is obvious that you need to maintain proper hygiene. Taking a bath everyday is very important (because acne can also occur on the chest, back, and other oily skin areas), paying special attention to your face and neck. When purchasing facial cleansers, look for the words “oil-free” or “non-comedogenic” (meaning the cleanser does not aggravate acne) on the label, and also “non-irritating” and “non-overdrying.” While it may feel like you’re doing your skin a favor when you wash frequently, the recommended amount of times to wash your face is only twice a day max, in the morning and evening. Do not use a washcloth, just your bare hands, as your aim is not to scrub but just cleanse your pores. Once done, you must pat your skin dry, not rub it, as that will only irritate your skin. If you’re using any topical medications for the treatment of acne, you can apply it afterward.

Controversial and much-debated acne tips include diet and stress. Studies have found but not really 100% proven that stress and the high glycemic nature of some foods that contain simple carbohydrates encourage pimple appearance. Scientific findings do not really point specifically to chocolate, but it is recommended anyway that you take all things in moderation, chocolate included, as well as instant breakfast drinks, milk, and cheese.

Hopefully the above acne tips have been helpful to you. Eat well, don’t stress yourself too much, and observe proper hygiene concentrating on your face and neck, and you should well be on your way to clearer skin.

Tags: <A

For many, this is a lot worse than having too much chest hair. But did you know that it actually affects more women than men? 54% of women suffer from it while only 40% of the men do. In both cases the body acne may come in the form of red pimples, blackheads, whiteheads, cysts and large furuncles. Sometimes this type of body acne can even come in dark painful lesions, that’s why people who are affected by it don’t just rely on taking showers but seeking medical help instead. Acne does not just occur among teenagers but even young adults.

Chest acne is an inflammation of the skin that’s primarily caused by pore blockage. Our bodies produce certain amount of sebum and we also expel dead skin cells. These two are normally washed away when we take baths or wash up. But when hormonal imbalance occurs and we produce excessive sebum, that’s when acne breaks out. Oil, when combined with dead skin cells, or reacts to oxygen forms bacteria that cause pimples and other impurities in the body including the chest. When men or women produce excess androgens or testosterone in the body that’s when more oil is produced too. Other that hormonal imbalance, the environment also causes the acne. With dirt and other toxins around us, it cannot be helped that or skin will be harmed.

But how can you solve such a predicament? In treating chest acne you must first of all avoid squashing them. If you slash those lesions or cysts you could get an infection or scars on your skin, and worse, the outbreak will continue.

What you should do is wash your chest with antibacterial soap or gel. Taking out as much dirt as possible will also get rid of the propionibacteria which causes acne. After washing it is best to apply an anti-inflammatory gel which contains benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid to stop and outbreak and prevent them from coming back. It is also wise to avoid tight clothing when while treating the acne on your chest as it exacerbates the outbreaks. Make sure your clothes are well cleaned too. There are overnight topical creams which have benzoyl peroxide and tea tree oil which are both anti-inflammatory and also unclog pores. Such formulas are dual acting and they deliver fast results.
Just be sure you ask your doctor about it to be sure you don’t experience skin irritation, burns or other forms of skin damage.
Tags: <A

They are hard to get rid of, unsightly, and can ruin an otherwise perfect complexion. It’s no wonder that people are always trying the latest product on the market to eliminate blackheads. Perhaps the best way to destroy something is to understand why it occurs. Once you understand why it happens it should be easier to prevent them.

So what causes blackheads? The skin produces oil called sebum. When bacteria and dead skin cells become trapped in the pores of the skin with the sebum, an infection occurs and the pore becomes clogged. If the pore is too large a layer of skin will not form over the infection. The top layer of this infection will be exposed to the air, causing it to oxidize and turn black. This is the tiny (or not so tiny) blackhead that we see on the surface of the skin.

So how do we prevent and treat blackheads? The first thing that one must do in order to prevent blackheads is reduce the amount of oil that is produced by the skin. When the skin is too oily it is easier for it to become clogged. In order to reduce the amount of oil the skin produces, one must change certain behaviors. People with oily skin tend to over-wash their face. This is the wrong way to go about things as it will cause the skin to produce more oil to compensate for the damage caused. You should never wash your skin to the point of irritation.

You should be sure to keep the skin clean to help reduce the formation of blackheads. Once again, this doesn’t mean to over-wash your face. When using skin cleansers be sure they are not too harsh for your skin. If you use something and notice drying out or flaking of the skin, either stop using the product or use it less often. Find a cleanser that is right for your skin type and stick with it. Not all cleansers are made equal.

Blackheads are a very common skin affliction. Sometimes they can ruin an entire complexion. With the proper care and treatment they can be dealt with and eliminated. All it takes is the proper skin care regimen and the commitment to it. Find the right cleanser that will work for you and use it at the same time each day and night. Don’t over-wash your skin because that will hurt it more than help it. It is absolutely possible to have great skin without spending a fortune on products. One of the best cleansers you can use is simply soap and water.
Tags: <A
